Both drivers and a young passenger escaped injury in a Tuesday afternoon collision in Bristol, according to Liberty County Sheriff’s Deputy Jarrod Taylor. Whitney McKenzie of Blountstown was traveling south on Baker Street around 2:45 p.m. when she drove into the path of a 2005 four-door Chrysler going east on Spring Street, driven by Cheryl Rowe of Bristol. McKenzie’s young daughter, who was in the car with her, was unharmed. McKenzie said she pulled out from the stop sign because she couldn’t see and then hit the oncoming car, according to the deputy. The crash crushed the front end of McKenzie’s 2005 Nissan Altima and crushed the fender on Rowe’s car.
