The Magnolia Chapter Florida Native Plant Society presents Pollination Strategies by Bill Boothe, local naturalist and wildlife photographer, Thursday, Feb. 5 at 7 p.m. in the King Life Sciences Building, Room 1024, at Florida State University, 319 Stadium Drive, Tallahassee, FL 32304.
Bill Boothe will give a presentation on the Pollination strategies used by plants and animals. He will discuss the ways in which pollen is transferred from flower to flower.
He has been a frequent speaker and trip leader for numerous environmental groups of Florida and Georgia including the Audubon Society, butterfly groups, statewide Native Plant Societies, and Rare Plant Task Forces. He is a Florida Master Naturalist Instructor and has been a keynote speaker for Master Gardener and FWC/NRCS joint programs.
He is a professional nature photographer noted for his images of all creatures and plants great and small, especially those that are rare and endangered. Some of his images may be viewed at NatureInFocus.com.
