BLOUNTSTOWN – Artifacts, bones and currency were on display during Archaeology Day at the Panhandle Pioneer Settlement on Saturday, Sept. 12. Kids got a chance to try their hand at searching for items with a metal detector thanks to Tommie Godwin and Norman Griggs of Wewahitchka, who placed several coins throughout the settlement and set kids loose to do their own archaeological exploration.
